An offer was just made by Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees in a case with two co-defendants. Perrion Burnett's attorney is Ms. Andrea Sullivan. Rquan Broadway's attorney is Mr. Ben Okin. They accepted the offer. Judge Kelly Neel is taking the plea. Mr. Rees called the victim.
The third co-defendant, Davon Johnson who was represented by Christina Allbright already resolved his case.
Time estimate for this preliminary hearing was four hours. It was continued today to address a legal/procedural issue before recommencing. Defense counsel have raised ongoing issue about whether there were Miranda violations regarding the two remaining suspects.
There has been an ongoing issue regarding whether there were Miranda violations in the interviews of defendants by law enforcement.
Probation/sentencing is on February 5.
