Now that he is out of custody, will J. D. Grow listen to the warning given to him by the Court?

J. D. Grow was in court this morning to address status of firearms. He was in court with his father.

Deputy Public Defender Ben McLaughlin told Judge Christopher Wilson that information provided by Grow's father never made it to the file. There was an October 25 report about five firearms.

Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer said four of the firearms were transferred to Grow's father. One was reported stolen. She mentioned illegal firearms were transferred to Gow's father.

Grow is not allowed to possess firearms. He pleaded guilty to sex offenses but the firearm charges in this case were dismissed. Judge Wilson reminded Grow of that fact and the consequences.

"The circumstances surrounding firearms is disturbing. The sentencing reflects the Court's concerns," said Judge Christopher Wilson.
