Alleged rapist Joseph Hall was arraigned on information this morning. For the jury trial, Hall is only charged with one count; rape by use of drugs. Bail remains at $75,000 which is set, according to schedule.
After his preliminary hearing, Hall was held to answer on Count 1, rape by use of drugs. He was not held to answer on Count 2 rape of an unconscious person.
Since his preliminary hearing, Hall posted bail and is out of custody.
Deputy Public Defender Wade Orbelian made an informal request for audio/visual phone records and forensic records. Judge Christopher Wilson told him to send the request in a letter to the People.
Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer prepared a CLETS order which was served on Hall in court.
Hall entered a general time waiver. Trial setting is scheduled for January 9.
