Was Linc Housing selected for the parking lot project with or without City of Eureka researching the company?

Linc Housing in Long Beach California has been selected by the City of Eureka to develop housing in the parking lots. This proposal has received backlash from several community members and local busineses.

Have the progressive supporters of this current Council checked the Board and supporters of Linc Housing? I don't have a problem with banks, corporations or churches but many of sanctimonious local left who elected this Mayor and five council members need to explain their hypocrisy if they look the other way when it suits them.

Google Linc Housing Corporation and lawsuits. Sounds like a corporation that takes money like many local slumlords do from the government and then think the people who rent should shut up and deal with crappy living situations.

Quite a few lawsuits come up in a simple search. Litigation gets filed. There can be judgments, settlements and dismissals for a variety of reasons even if there is a strong case.

I am not going to spend time going through each link; I have enough on my plate. Research and investigative reporting takes time. Time is money. Those with a vested interest can spend the time and money if they wish to pursue this further. How much research has the City of Eureka done on Linc Housing?

A lawsuit in San Mateo County. The case had a disposition. You can read and download the documents. There are also links to other cases in which Linc Housing is a litigant.

Lawsuit from 2002 to 2004 in Los Angeles Superior Court was dismissed.
