Preliminary hearing for murder suspect Connor Whited was rescheduled for May 26. It has been continued several times due to lack of courtrooms.
The People noted the fact, the age of the case and requested a special set. Defense agreed and joined in that request. That request was not accomodated by court administration.
Whited's preliminary is reset for July 29. For now, it is a light calendar. Already the disclaimer was issued that hopefully it will proceed.
Deputy Conflict Counsel April Van Dyke is Whited's attorney. Deputy District Attorney Luke Bernthal is the prosecutor for the case. Deputy DA Trent Timm also appeared on the case this morning.
