Attempted murder suspect Matthew Ramsey's jury trial was scheduled on May 10. Instead it is now scheduled for a change of plea on May 17.
Mr. Russ Clanton is Ramsey's attorney. Deputy District Attorney Luke Bernthal is the prosecutor for the case. DA Maggie Fleming appeared on the case for trial assignment.
Mr. Clanton told Presiding Judge Joyce Hinrichs that he had discussions with Mr. Bernthal and the case is "expected to resolve." If it does not, dates will be reset.
Another reason the May 10 trial was not assigned yet was because Mr Clanton has a special set in the Darius Upshaw case later this month which means Ramsey would not have a continuous trial.
