Some neighbors were notified but not everyone affected by this indoor grow was aware of this proposal. There are more than industrial buildings near and surrounding the 2nd and S area. There are residences and apartment units. The impact will be felt by businesses and neighbors and that is not limited to just a few blocks near 2nd and S.
Steenburg LLC has a Fortuna agent listed. A profile for James Ronald Seiler states "he is on the board of Redwood Capital Bank and Redwood Capital Bancorp and member of Fortuna Chamber of Commerce, member of Rotary Club of Fortuna, member of Redwood Empire Golf & Country Club and member of California Independent Oil Marketers Association."
There is no information on Golden State Financial Services online. Similar names. Why isn't there more information on the applicant? Is this grow owned by someone local? If there is a local connection, why is this indoor grow in Eureka?
Some people feel this is another project being passed last minute by the City of Eureka and "shoved through last minute " with the public having no information or not having adequate time to object.
What plans does the City of Eureka and the owner have for security and public safety or do they just expect an already short staffed Eureka Police Department to pick up the slack of another hasty decision?
