This property which I was told used to be Head Start offices has looked like crap for years with overgrown weeds and trash like many properties that are not maintained in Eureka. Throwing a fence up does not change anything about these eyesores all over the city.
It is across from the Library on 3rd Street. Today, I saw John Shelter and his New Directions crew cleaning up the property.
A guy walking on the street walked by and briefly spoke with Shelter. Since they working, Shelter asked him how he was doing and said he would speak to Lucas later after the job was completed.
