Coleman's current attorney wants to review his Marsden transcript

Further setting was scheduled on May 13 for convicted murderer Demetrius Coleman. There would have been no report had I not checked other courtrooms. With multiple cases on at the same time and delays, some Humboldt Superior Court Judges, CEO and Court Operations Manager continue to say fuck you to the public because there is zero accountability from idiot Gavin Newsom and the useless California Judicial Council.

Missed some of the hearing because it was calendared in Courtroom 3 which I thought was odd since Judge Kelly Neel is the Judge who would be calling this case. This is what was listed on the online calendar.

They have been moving Judges around but as usual, so I was watching. They are adding stuff last minute and there is no way to know since there is no access to the second floor.

The court administration moved it to Courtroom 4 last minute. No respect for anyone's time. No respect for victims, defendant's families, some who are not local. I know how the local courts work but most people do not. Judge Christopher Wilson who was in 3 did not bother to say cases were moved.

Some of the Judges, the Humboldt Superior Court CEO and Court Operations Manager thinks this daily circus is "proficiency." Glare all you want at me at the Co-op Kelly and anyone else but taxpayers who pay all of your salaries deserve respect and a court run professionally, not some backwoods joke. Your poor choices, decisions and ineptness impacts people's lives.  Frontline staff and everyone else is wasting time and working hard because a few arrogant court honchos think they are above the law and scrutiny.

No other court has these "local" ridiculous rules. Even media and attorneys have to jump through hoops here to get information that should be transparent and accessible.

No access to the second floor and they moved another case, Brian Daniels from  3 to 4, and the files weren't there for that case. So more delays.

Mr. Zachary Curtis is Coleman's attorney. Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer is the prosecutor for the case.

Ms. Schaffer brought up that Mr. Curtis represented Nicholas Scott/Skye (could not hear through the masks) and raised conflict of interest. Mr. Curtis said he does not see a conflict.

Mr. Curtis wants to review the transcript of the Marsden hearing. Judge Neel asked him to file a motion. She needs to research the procedure for this request.

Setting of sentencing and status of motion for a new trial is scheduled for July 15. It was continued by defense to 9/7/21.

9/7/21: Argument on motion for new trial or sentencing was scheuled for 10/26.
