"Stayn" gets DEJ deal, has to pay $6,000 and do community service

Finally, this morning, a sleepy or hungover Nicholas Hedrick aka "Stayn" appeared via Zoom to enter a guilty plea to PC 594 (b) (1). He chose not to turn his camera on or appeared by phone. The Court did not inquire. His responses to Judge Christopher Wilson were exasperated "yes" and "yep."

Hedrick entered into a four year deferred entry of judgement. He has to obey all laws; do 40 hours of community service and pay restitution of $6,000. That amount could increase if additional victims submit amounts. If he pays off restitution and completes community service in two years; the DEJ gets reduced to two years and "maybe dismissed."

His attorney, Mr. Patrik Griego, appeared via Zoom. Deputy District Attorney Steven Stewardappeared on the case for the People.

The two year date is May 17, 2023; the four year date is May 19, 2025.
