On the day of his trial, he pleads guilty to assault and false imprisonment by force

 


Michael James Gabriel, Jr. jury trial was supposed to start this morning. Jurors were ready. Instead, there was a plea deal.

Deputy District Attorney Whitney Timm discussed the defense offer with Jane Doe. Sentencing is on June 1 and a criminal protective order is in place.

Mr. Zach Curtis represents Gabriel. Judge Kelly Neel accepted Gabriel's guilty plea to an added count 3, 245 (a) (1) assault with a deadly weapon; a bat as well as an added Count 4, false imprisonment by force. All remaining charges and misdemeanor cases were dismissed.

6/1: Judge Neel sentenced him to four years in prison which was the plea agreement.
