Michael James Gabriel, Jr. jury trial was supposed to start this morning. Jurors were ready. Instead, there was a plea deal.
Deputy District Attorney Whitney Timm discussed the defense offer with Jane Doe. Sentencing is on June 1 and a criminal protective order is in place.
Mr. Zach Curtis represents Gabriel. Judge Kelly Neel accepted Gabriel's guilty plea to an added count 3, 245 (a) (1) assault with a deadly weapon; a bat as well as an added Count 4, false imprisonment by force. All remaining charges and misdemeanor cases were dismissed.
6/1: Judge Neel sentenced him to four years in prison which was the plea agreement.
