Defense says they are inundated with discovery, Ryan Tanner preliminary has a four day time estimate


Murder suspect Ryan Tanner had setting of preliminary hearing scheduled this morning. First, he had a lengthy private call with his attorney, Mr. Russ Clanton.

Then, when the case was called on record, Judge ChristopherWilson had to explain the time waiver to him, again. Finally, Tanner entered a 60 day time waiver.

Mr. Clanton said that defense has been "inundated" with discovery, he received discovery today and more is expected after the search at Tanner's property "in the last week and a half." Defense requested a 30 day, time certain date with Tanner wanting to be personally present. October 19 is the preliminary date with a four day time estimate.

Judge Wilson asked the court clerk to set the date. "We will deal with the fallout later."

Deputy District Attorney Jessica Acosta said, "this is a murder investigation" and there will be ongoing discovery.
