Trial confirmation was scheduled for December 5 for alleged molestor Chad Smith.
Jury trial is on January 6.
While both parties confirmed, Ms. Andrea Sullivan told Judge Lawrence Killoran, " this case may benefit from judicial intervention for a possible resolution."
Deputy District Attorney Stacey Eads agreed.
After two mistrials, instead of wasting time and resources on a third trial, hopefully Chad Smith, his ex wife and her friend can spare Jane Doe 1 and 2 the trauma of testifying again and agree on a plea. The adults need to look at this case realistically and not with emotion.
Further trial confirmation is scheduled for December 13 when attorneys will meet with Judge Killoran.
