After mistrial, endless delays, Fortuna molestor enters plea and resolves case right before retrial

After a mistrial the first time, then endless continuances, motions, dates vacated, two failed attempts to dismiss the retrial by defense, molestor Matthew Dickerson entered a plea today and resolved his case. Counts 1,2, 3, 7, 8, 9 were dismissed. Dickerson has to register as sex offender for 10 years. Sentencing is November 6.

Deputy District Attorney Whitney Timm is the prosecutor for the case. Deputy Public Defender Ben McLaughlin is Dickerson's attorney.

Stoll evaluation is a PC 288.1 mental health evaluation of a sex offender. Stoll is prior bad acts evidence that can be introduced in a criminal trial to show the defendant's propensity to commit the alleged crimes charged in the current jury trial.
