CalPolyHSU student's "Think Big, Dream Green" about a secretive Bay Area company to be published in the Airship Association Journal

I first met James Caulkins in Fall 2020. James came to Humboldt in 2018 and is a CalPolyHSU student, hoping to graduate next year. James works full time in the hospitality industry. Over the last three years,  I would see James when I was out and about, we would chat.

Last year, James mentioned to me that he had written an article and was planning to submit it for publication. We talked about some strategies and options. I wished him well and asked if I could do an article when he gets his first publication.

James sent out submissions, heard back from a few places and last month, he told me that his article "was picked up by the Airship Association journal, a trade periodical, and they have expressed interest in other articles I have pitched to them. I’ve been very gratified by their interest in my articles. My first will hit the printers in late October."

According to James, "Think Big, Dream Green is about a rather secretive company called LTA Research and Exploration which is located just outside of Mountain View, California in the Bay Area."

"They’ve very recently completed construction of the world’s largest aircraft—an advanced, all-electric Zeppelin intended for use in zero-pollution heavy cargo transport, as well as disaster relief. The ship is capable of bringing supplies and mass communications capabilities to stricken areas with no airports or infrastructure intact. My article details the company’s history, and investigates the reasons why airships fell into relative obscurity in the mid-20th century, and why LTA is modernizing such unconventional aircraft today. "

James sent this link to me . "You can download the article and read it for free. It turns out they selected it to be the sample article for the issue."
