Man who molested cousin resolves case with 12 year stipulated cap, 5 out of 6 charges dismissed

On October 5 Christian Bautista-Ramirez resolved his case. The people made a motion to disqualify Judge Kelly Neel. The plea was taken by Judge Kaleb Cockrum. Bautista-Ramirez waived his right to appeal, it is a stipulated 12 year cap, dismissal of Counts 1 -5. Bautista-Ramirez  pleaded guilty to Count 6 felony PC 288.5 (a) continuous sexual abuse of a child.

Bautista-Ramirez was charged with molesting his cousin. I covered the case including the preliminary hearing and understand why Deputy District Attorney Whitney Timm, the DA's office and the victim agreed to a plea deal. The best decision Bautista-Ramirez and his family did was to hire Ms. Andrea Sullivan.

12/8:  Sentencing continued by defense to 12/15.
