"John, I want to thank you for getting this information out there as best you can.  I wish that other news outlets would have reported on this as they have the events of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.  I have to be honest I am not clear on what the group is about other than trying to explore one's sexuality.  This has a place in our current society albeit in my mind at what age is up for discussion.  For me, young grade school kids, K-6 or above is not the appropriate time period.

This man who was a member of this group, was part of "story time" at local schools.  Based on what he was arrested for (masturbating) in public, this is completely unacceptable!  For journal/news outlets like Lost Coast Outpost, Redheaded Blackbelt, Northcoast Journal to print stories about the Sisters and say nothing about one of their members being arrested, not cool, especially for parents like me who have a responsibility to keep our children safe and protect them from predators like this.

It is always great to hear from my readers and one of the things I am grateful for is that I see them, hear them, get to talk to them at the Courthouse or many other places. 

I received this email and it was a nice surprise after a very busy morning in court. I regularly hear from my longtime readers and those relationships in a small County are what make the long hours, the challenges of doing a combination of independent reporting, watchdog reporting and local news worth it. Clicks and paid SEO results don't determine what people are actually reading or bring results. Effectiveness, change brought by coverage; people knowing who you are and trust earned from a diverse group is what matters.

The reference in the email to the alleged masturbation is not from my coverage but the Lost Coast Populist who did followup after my initial report about Clinton Ellis-Gilmore's arrest. Thanks to LCP and Kym Kemp who both gave me credit for reporting the arrest first.  It has been weeks and The Daily Wire has yet to fix their error, give me the credit.
