Just received this from a good samaritan who wishes to remain anonymous. There is video which on my Facebook page. This happened at 14th and Broadway at approximately 11 a.m.
"Dude hit the hydrant, then backed up and pulled over. Spoke with a witness, and checked his truck. I thought he was going to wait for authorities to arrive but he got back in his truck and started to drive away. I followed him and got his license plate # and a description of him. I then returned to the hydrant to give EPD the info. Two other witnesses stated he worked at Ecocann on F street in Eureka."
"The recording starts after the guy hit the fire hydrant. I stopped recording because he pulled over. Once he started to drive away, I followed him."
