Logan Brewer Hearst resolves his case with a plea to involuntary manslaughter and assault with a firearm

Logan Brewer Hearst entered a guilty plea to two additional counts just now. The People amended the petition filed in 2019.

Count 3 is involuntary manslaughter. Special allegation for Count 3 is use of a firearm. Victim for Count 3 is Taevonne Latimer. Count 4 is assault with a firearm. Victim for Count 4 is Daylyn Prudhomme.

Counts 1 and 2 and special allegations were dismissed by the People.

Maximum confinement is 15 years. Four years for Count 3 and 10 years for the special allegation for Count 3. One additional year for Count 4; this is the mid term sentence for that charge.

Next court date is November 3. Full dispositional report has been requested.

Ms. Andrea Sullivan is Hearst's attorney. Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees was present for the People.

Attorneys met with the Judge yesterday to discuss this offer.

Hearst is a juvenile suspect and there will be no booking photo available since he is not at the jail but at Juvenile Hall.

Dressed in a green shirt with his hair in a boy bun, Hearst told Judge John Feeney he would accept the offer that he "talked about yesterday" with his attorney.

See post below for original press release and background.
