Bail reduction denied for kidnapping, robbery, assault suspect Franklin Molina

Kidnapping, robbery and assault suspect Franklin Molina had  an OR/bail hearing this morning.

Deputy District Attorney Jane Mackie  appeared on the case for the People. Deputy Public Defender Casey Russo is Molina's attorney. Spanish interpreter Mr. Carlos Santana translated for Molina.

Mr. Russo asked that Molina's bail be reduced "as appropriate." He added that for Counts 2 and 3, Molina was eligible for the emergency bail schedule.

Ms. Mackie opposed the bail reduction based on the charges and asked bail remain set. Judge Kelly Neel agreed with the People.

Trial confirmation is on August 3. Jury trial is in September.
