BOLO for this dark gray Toyota Prius
On April 17, 2020, at about 5:45 p.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the area of Murray Road and Highway 101 in McKinleyville for the report of a gunshot victim.
Upon arrival, deputies located a 65-year-old female victim with multiple injuries constant with a possible BB gun. The victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
Deputies learned that the female victim had been walking along Murray Road at the Highway 101 overpass when she was shot with a possible BB gun from a passing vehicle. The vehicle then fled the scene.
While on scene, deputies received the report of a 50-year-old male victim also sustaining possible BB gun-related injuries from a passing vehicle on McKinleyville Avenue. The victim declined medical attention.
The suspect vehicle has been identified as a dark gray Toyota Prius with unknown license plates. A surveillance photo of the vehicle has been attached to this press release.
The driver of the vehicle is described as a white male adult, approximately 20-30 years old wearing glasses. The suspect, a passenger of the vehicle, is described as a white male adult, approximately 20-30 years old, without facial hair or glasses.
