Ventura County rewards residents' compliance by easing stay at home order restrictions

Ventura County had already opened up some beaches. Today, Ventura County eased some stay-at-home order restrictions for some recreation areas such as golf courses and some businesses like car dealerships. Gatherings in cars and in-person sales of vehicles are also permitted under the modifications.

Officials said because residents have been compliant with the health order, it helped slow the spread of the virus.  Local hospitals expanded their capacity played a factor in this decision.

If residents continue to practice physical distancing is these places will stay open with restrictions. If the numbers go up, then this could change.

The modified order allows for non-public serving businesses to operate with no more than 10 employees and allows for gatherings of up to five people.

People 70 and older and those with pre existing conditions are still advised to stay home
