"During the state of emergency the executive powers are in effect, in that they are empowered to provide for emergency remedies which may infringe on fundamental constitutional rights"

At a hearing yesterday, U.S. District Judge Jesus Bernal indicated he was going to deny the request for a temporary restraining order in Gish vs Newsom. This is a lawsuit filed on April 13 and plaintiffs are from three different Southern California Churches. He is going to isssue a formal opinion.

Harmeet Dhillon of Dhillon Law Group  asked Judge Bernal to hold a further hearing on her request for a preliminary injunction,

"During the state of emergency the executive powers are in effect, in that they are empowered to provide for emergency remedies which may infringe on fundamental constitutional rights," said Judge Bernal.

  1. Just wondering.... so it appears they will let all of the convicted criminals out of the jails and prisons to make sure they have room for everyone not wearing a mask?
I call BS on the whole thing anyway. Based on the random antibody testing of 3,000 people in Santa Clara County and more than that in LA, the actual number of people who have contracted the disease and recovered is 45 to 80 times higher than being reported as "confirmed". Makes the death rate less than 1/10 of 1% - probably akin to the seasonal flu. I realize it attacks [us] old folks and those with underlying heath issues much harder, but maybe they should tell me to stay home - not the entire country.
Safe to go into grocery store, cannabis dispensary, Walmart, and Home Depot - but I cannot go into the nursery at Home Depot and that is outside.
Enough of my rant - Can you tell I have tired of this?
