On April 28, 2020, at about 11:15 p.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 4000 block of Walnut Drive, in the county’s jurisdiction of Eureka, for the report of a stabbing that had just occurred.
Deputies arrived on scene and located a 20-year-old male victim with a non-life-threatening injury consistent with a stabbing. The victim was treated by medical personnel on scene.
Upon further investigation, deputies learned that an unknown male suspect had approached the victim on foot as the victim was walking along Walnut Drive. After a brief exchange, the suspect reportedly stabbed the victim, then physically assaulted him prior to fleeing south on Walnut Drive. Deputies searched the surrounding area but were unable to locate the suspect.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic or white male adult, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall with a stocky build and black hair. The suspect was last seen wearing a black and white checkered jacket and gray pants.
