While it costs you and I money and freedom during the pandemic, if you are a ne'er-do-well and irresponsible, Phase 1, 2, 3 or 4 doesn't matter

This shelter in place means I am home a lot. Trying, just like you to work under challenging conditions and have the same stress about uncerainty and finances.

Inconsiderate and irresponsible people including those travelers are one of the reasons Humboldt is stuck in Phase 1. How are we supposed to have zeros in a row for a required period when there is flagrant disregard for the health order and no consequences?

The COVID tip line does a great job documenting, verifying and passing information to the appropriate authorities. Law enforcement, Code Enforcement have their hands full. I understand their dilemma but am frustrated because there have been  opportunities to trace and prevent transmission but have been missed.  The guy  who got off the bus from Louisiana came and left because there was no follow up. He was here three days.

Many of you read the posts I did about the sex offender and others not following the shelter in place order. Some of the same people refuse to wear facial coverings or observe physical distancing.

If you don't have a job, what reason do you have to be out every half an hour or hour during the night and day? What "essential" reason does the same person  out at night have every day to be gone for hours at a time, come back home, then walk to the alley for a few minutes, come back home and then off for another walk. Is going out more than 12 times a day "essential?" If you have a car, you dont need to be out several times a day for "essentials."

Wouldn't you have groceries or a note from a medical appointment during these trips? Why would someone need to nervously look around before getting into their car every time or walking somewhere or run back into their apartment until EPD finishes driving by?

The sex offender won't wear a facial covering but at least he stays home. The one guy with the frequent trips is the the same guy who let his friend visit from Louisiana and stay here for three days.

With the shelter in place violations that I observed, it took me personally contacting  EPD Chief Steve Watson until he contacted City of Eureka Code Enforcement.  In every other instance except where I live, the issue was rectified immediately.

The property management company only sent out a letter to tenants after Code Enforcement contacted them. After that if violations occur about the shelter in order from the sex offender and the guy who thinks he should do whatever he wants during the pandemic, whose responsible for the risk to your health?
