Kudos to the California Democrat officials calling out the Gavin Newsom Daily show

Several days of 0 local COVID 19 cases in Humboldt, 52 out of 53 local cases recovered. No deaths in Humboldt. Yet, dictator Gavin won't allow local authorities to ease any restrictions for Humboldt. But it is okay for his poor decision to result in the release COVID 19 positive inmates into the community?

There are going to be no zero cases for days in a row with such poor decisions. His press releases followed by executive orders with the same information is his need to grandstand. He has taken no meaningful action to ease financial burderns such as suspending AB5. That would be less people needing to depend on the government. Feel good press releases don't pay bills or feed anyone.

Listed below are excerpts from an opinion piece in the Los Angeles Times. The quotes are from Democrats questioning the one man Gavin Newsom Daily show.

"With the legislative and judicial branches basically shut down because of the virus, the executive has seized almost complete control over state government. And many legislators are smarting."

"They’re antsy to reenter the political arena and resume exerting influence over decision-making, particularly regarding the state’s approach to taming the virus, returning to normal life, restoring the economy and managing a bleeding state budget."

Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon says Gavin Newsom’s constant issuing of executive orders makes it a different way of governing. That’s part of why we want to come back. We want to have an influence. That’s our job.”

“We have not been engaged and we have been trying to engage,” complained Assemblyman Jim Wood (D-Santa Rosa). “We often hear maybe five minutes before an executive order comes out or by watching live the governor’s daily updates…. And that’s a challenge.”

"Newsom has issued reams of executive orders — around 30 so far. They include shutting down businesses, altering court operations, increasing spending on homeless shelters, providing worker benefits and allowing grocers to issue free single-use plastic bags to customers — which voters had previously outlawed."

"It’s all apparently legal. At least, no judge has said any of it is illegal, although some small businesses have filed a lawsuit in federal court challenging the constitutionality of the governor’s shelter-in-place order."

  1. Elections have Consequences....hope we've learned or lessons. Politicians are not good at anything but stealing and lie'n. Only seasoned business owners with actual business and life experience should ever be allowed to run for any public office, politicians are worthless. They are bought sold and traded.
