Kudos to Ted Vivatson for speaking up.

 Vivatson isn't the only one who feels this way. The rest of the post is my opinion and thoughts but there others who agree whether they comment on the blog, Facebook or privately.

If this pandemic was so deadly, then there would have been actual enforcement of the shelter in place order and the facial covering, not education or subjective enforcement of flagrant abuse.

In Eureka, the mentally ill, the drug addicts aren't wearing masks or observing physical distancing. In various places in Eureka, including my apartment complex, the same people that continue to ignore physical distancing despite warnings are now wandering without masks.  I can tell you that at least some of these people are County clients and have social workers and caregivers. 

Some of these people are older. So if they get sick because they don't follow the law, and numbers go up, the rest of suffer longer with restrictions in place?

This disease causes respiratory distress yet there are inconsiderate smokers walking, driving around polluting the environment, blowing smoke towards others which also affects people's health but let's shut down busineses that were following stringent procedures and shut down every restaurant lobby and public bathroom.

Washing hands is more effective than sanitizer and there are people working who are considered essential. Yet, no access to bathrooms anywhere.

Some people are so hysterical and fearful that they ignore logic and disparage anyone who is fine with reasonable precautions but doesnt believe in giving up constitutional rights based on models that have been wrong. The excuse that the numbers are low than what was projected because of physical distancing is bs because not everyone has been following the health order.

We have an additional testing site in a week or two. Additional beds will be available at Redwood Acres. What have St. Joe's or Mad River done to increase bed capacity.? We are now mandated to wear facial coverings and yet not one restriction has been eased. 

Gavin Newsom doesn't want President Trump to tell him what to do yet he wants to dictate to local counties when to ease restrictions and lift the local health orders.

The only scientific data I want from federal, state or local officials is actual test results. Specify whether those results are people who have COVID 19 or are positive or have anti bodies. How many of them are elderly or have other health conditions that contributed to their deaths? I don't want guesses based on hypothetical models. I don't want speculation of what if based on theory. Enforce

penalties for those being irresponsible instead of putting those of us following the rules on lockdown.

We have gone into mass hysteria when we don't know for sure when or where coronavirus originated in the world. We have made decisions that will financially and socially affect generations to come when we cannot pinpoint when this virus started spreading beyond China and Europe. To those who want to follow the Pied Piper, go ahead. You have no right to force the rest of us to suffer because of your complacent and fear based panic.
