28 million lost in revenue, 880 businesses calling for help and other local impacts of COVID 19 health order

From 6 to 7:30 today, Humboldt County residents had an opportunity to listen to Humboldt County Sheriff William Honsal, Humboldt County Health Officer Dr. Teresa Frankovich and Deputy Health Officer Dr. Josh Ennis.

Some of the stats Sheriff Honsal mentioned have been covered in local news coverage. 2100 local jobs, 15 permanent building closures, 28 million loss in revenue, 880 businesses calling for help are just some of the numbers he mentioned today.

"We value life over property," said Sheriff Honsal. Local order cannot be lifted until state order and local order has to follow Governor Newsom's framework and guidelines.

Dr. Frankovich said despite the zeros, "we have not eliminated COVID 19; we have just made it harder to spread."

Since you can watch this live now or later, I am not posting any more of the broadcast.
