Analia Martinez charged again, new case for stalking, criminal threats and disobeying a court order

Analia Martinez was arrrested in July. One of those charges was for violating a restraining order. She posted bond. This isn't her first arrest for violating a restraining order. This while she is scheduled to get yet another plea after a slap on the wrist for previous conduct.

Martinez has three criminal cases for assault and battery including a 2023 case before the July 2023 arrest. Last I reported, a plea previously agreed on was in jeopardy. She has trial confirmation and a jury trial scheduled in January 2024 in the CR 2301505 case. The DAs office was going to file new charges but after months of checking, I just stopped.

On 11/30, a new case was filed against Martinez with six counts including charges for stalking  criminal threats and disobeying a court order. That case is CR2302506. Arraignment is scheduled for 12/18. She had retained Ms. Kathleen Bryson. Guess we will find out in two weeks, if she has yet another attorney. In one of her cases she is charged with PC 273.6 (a) violating a restraining order and PC 647 (j) (4) (a) revenge porn.

Martinez has been allowed by  Humboldt judges to remain out of custody and continue her behavior with no consequences.

12/18: Arraigned, people request remand and a financial declaration. OR hearing on 12/20; preliminary hearing on 12/28. According to the court minutes, Ms. Kathleen Bryson is not representing Martinez in this case and she is back to having the Public Defender's office represent her.

12/20: Supervised release granted by Judge Steven Steward; people requested remand again. Let's see if Martinez contacts probation by the deadline ordered by Judge Steward.

12/28: As you can see from the minutes before in CR2301505, Ms. Bryson is still representing Martinez in that case but the January 2024 trial confirmation and jury trial dates are no longer on calendar. Like Martinez, her cases are a mess. The Public Defender is representing Martinez in CR2303506. Pre-trial in one case and preliminary hearing in the other case scheduled for 2/1. Let's hope she does not add another arrest before that date.

2/1: Preliminary hearing in one case continued by court to 3/8; pre trial in her other case continued to the same date.
