Judge Neel denies DA's motion to terminate Sean Allman's mental health diversion

 

After hearing from Deputy District Attorney Whitney Timm and Ms. Andrea Sullivan on 12/15, Judge Kelly Neel denied the DA's motion to terminate Sean Allman's mental health diversion and reinstate criminal proceedings without prejudice. The matter was referred to the Public Guardian for possible conservatorship. 

I have covered Allman extensively, including recent posts what led up to the 12/15 hearing. 

12/15 court minutes:

Several two week dates have been scheduled to review diversion. I am not listing all those dates.  There is a hearing on 1/29/24 for status of conservatorship. A two year final diversion date is on 4/24/25. 

There was a hearing on 1/9, another on 1/18. Next court date is 1/29. I will add an update from the 1/29/24 hearing to this post if there is a development. I am not posting on every review hearing.

1/9/24 court minutes:

1/29/24: Letter from LPS received by court, status of conservatorship continued to 2/13 in e court but that date is also listed as matter off calendar.

2/13: status of conservatorship off calendar. Next next court date is 2/27 for review. I am no longer not updating unless there is a significant development in this case or Allman racks up new charges. Two year diversion review on 4/24/25.
