CJP investigation, multiple reasons and court records why Humboldt's mini trump, the Rex of the courthouse and Humboldt's tiny Napolean should not be re-elected

I certainly hope that the Commission on Judicial Performance is going to release details in a public release about their investigation into Judge Gregory Kreis. Will it be in a week or two? They are doing a disservice to this community and the dignity of the bench by allowing Humboldt's mini trump, the Rex of the courts and Humboldt's tiny Napolean to run for re-election.

Every day is busy and I am one person putting out news and information the community wants, asks and by the feedback and results generated appreciates. I have had to keep putting off certain posts, especially timely ones on Judge Gregory Kreis because getting evidence, requesting information from official sources is time consuming but mostly due to the unnecessary delays caused by the County and courts.

The County cannot retain PIOS, staff certain portions of websites don't work, there is short staffing in the County and Humboldt Superior Court. The biggest backlog is Humboldt Superior Court mismangement and chaos that started with Judge Joyce Hinrichs and has descended into utter chaos with even more continuances on cases day to day, multiple ones for several cases in the same week, lack of courtrooms, lack of staff, 10 to 12 cases daily which become 20 plus jammed due to the current administration's incompetence under Kreis. There is other news besides court and all of it time consuming. The lack of access to public computers which only I constantly tell court administration about but others are impacted by and just sit around and benefit from me getting fixed. For profit companies and their researchers hogging up the two public computers for hours a day looking up records that are not urgent. They are using public resources for credit checks and background checks. They can use software for these non urgent issues. Humboldt Superior Court can charge them or at the least talk to these companies. Attorneys, their staff, bailbonds employees, investigators and media have to wait and readjust schedules for public access. We will let someone use the computer and we adhere to the 20 minute time limit; these researchers don't because they get paid by the hour.

Tech could put this information online but both former CEO Kim Bartleson and current CEO Meara Hattan say it is too time consuming. Is it time consuming for tech to be carrying chairs to Hattan's office?

This was made worse with one computer going kaput on Monday. There is an extremely high demand and it takes a long time to check cases and get documentation. Staff is working with outdated, broken equipment. Meanwhile Kreis collects his $260,000 salary and the Humboldt Superior Court CEO has a real estate career on the side to her overpaid marriage.

Kreis did not send me the press release of his announcement & even if he did, I wouldnt print that rubbish PR which is contrary to the facts such as private attorneys and public defenders disqualifying him so much, it was a problem. For years, I have documented with court records, appellate court rulings and my exclusive coverage on Humboldt Superior Court what a disaster Kreis is and my regular readers have read all of them. I am not going to link hundreds of posts everytime I do a post on Kreis.

Anon comments have zero credibility and could be anyone including sycophants and Humboldt court insiders. I have opinions and observations but they are backed with court records and facts. I use my name. I have contact information.

Local sites, anonymous and others, have allowed the Humboldt County and court insiders, the government, law enforcement, good ole boys and certain lawyers to take advantage of the anon option to distract, slander and libel without consequences. The sites that allow this never cover anything risk but throw out a bone here and there where it involves no risk. It is also a convenient way for those who fund and own these sites to use these media sources.

I don't need to go to Kreis' announcement to know who will be there. It was under Kreis that former court mediator Joe Hale was allowed to prey in this community.

Kreis is engaged to his boo that he went to Europe with and apparently wedding plans are in the works. How convenient before her deposition which seems to be missing from the current lawsuit against him ? Even though I havent mentioned her name and even though there were enough clues, people would still ask me who it was, I never told them. It seems the legal community and others knows because they are getting spotted all over town with PDAs and some people flat out stated the name to me. Kreis and boo might have just slipped up and provided some additional evidence of their, uh closeness, conflict of interest. I am not going to go into detail but read my posts. A court clerk who worked for years was suddenly "fired", "let go" for saying what several people know at the courthouse about who Kreis' boo is, she settled and in a settlement there are usually agreements preventing people from speaking. No one wants to go on record for fear of retaliation from Kreis and this includes attorneys.

Kreis and his boo filed for divorce around the same time. Judge Kelly Neel is open about her relationship with Deputy Public Defender Ben McLaughlin. That issue was raised in the last election. Why shouldn't the public know about Kreis' friendships and conflicts of people at the courthouse and the identity of the woman he is dating, now allegedly engaged to and married to?Her name should eventually come out, if the Rory Kalin lawsuit doesn't settle and if the Commission on Judicial Performance.

Kreis is the only judge to release a grand jury report in the middle of an election. Why didn't any of the local media investigate? I do more than my share. What is the other local media doing?

Kreis has more conflicts than anyone else I know at the courthouse and there needs to be transparency, especially with elections. He refuses to acknowledge them or recuse himself. Read just some of the previous posts. I will be doing a separate post on his lawsuit where he faces many serious allegations. Whether the anti semitic, drunken, inappropriate allegations in Kalin's lawsuit are proven, there are those in the legal community, if they have any morals or a conscience to step up and not whisper what they have known for years or said privately about Kreis' personal and professional shortcomings to the public.

Kreis is taking more time off and is apparently quite confident about getting re-elected and not concerned about the Kalin lawsuit. There is a hearing on December 8 in the lawsuit against him, his re-election announcement is on December 13. If the trip to Europe wasn't enough, he is taking Friday December 8 and Monday December 11 off to fly to Las Vegas for a Vikings game. Must be nice to get a $260,000 salary, set a convenient schedule, and have taxpayers pay for a retired or Visiting Judge to cover constant slacking off.

The rest of the local media is too scared to lose their ads and the crumbs from Humboldt court insiders to do their job. Their silence looking the other way from holding Rex, Michelle Bushnell, the courts or any good ole boy is obvious to the public. They just rather run a press release. Three lame stories on LOCO about Billy Honsal on the same issue without any evidence of said emails because they want to hide behind the protection of local tribes, some who have a financial stake in LOCO is convenient. Billy isnt afraid of LOCO or their 5 regular groupie commenters and moderator , he is of the local tribes. All LOCO does is list anonymous blogs, anonymous comments, anonymous Reddit promoting only certain businesses and a bunch of links to Humboldt insiders and podcasts from people who have conflicts of interests based on their day jobs that no one is listening to or reading.

Where were these media when I regularly and consistently covered hearings on homicide cases involving local tribal members and casinos? The same tribes and casinos who have a financial interest or advertise in certain publications who ignore tribal content most of the time. Billy, Rex and Ryan arent good friends standing by you, are they?
