Suspect in OIS shooting has family members who are HCSO correction

Matthew Wiliams is the suspect with the loaded firearm in the OIS shooting with a loaded firearm. Williams grandfather was a HCSO correctional officer. His aunt is a CO. A search in e court brought up 47 cases in the Humboldt Superior court system.

When EPD released their update, 24 hours after I correctly identified the suspect, they mentioned the officers. It was EPD' choice not to release the names. The investigation by the Critical Incident Response Team and review by the DA should be done properly and EPD has valid reasons to release information. And I am sure Eureka City Manager Miles Slattery , City Council and the City Attorney are micromanaging the process.

The officers should be cleared. A suspect with a warrant chose to flee, with a loaded firearm. The officers had seconds to protect the public and themselves. Like the Little Eagle Moon or any other traffic stop that turned into a shooting because a criminal endangered the situation, I dont need Matthew Williams family, friends, drug cohorts or anon trolls' two cents on social media. Follow the law. All you anti law enforcement people in Humboldt know how to use a keyboard but you do nothing productive or keep this community safe. When you make the sacrifices these officers do and risk your lives for a thankless job, then your opinion maybe worth a penny.

I know all the three officers involved. It is a shame that they have to be put on admin leave because of protocol.

These officers could use your support. So instead of commenting online, maybe say it in person. We all know the City of Eureka does not stand up for its officers and will sacrifice them to the Humboldt mob of destroyers for their own selfish gains.

The traffic stop was initiated by EPD Officer Swanson. Officer Jeremy Sollum and Officer Nick Jones are the two involved in the OIS. I definitely stand by Officers Swanson and Jones. I am neutral on Sollom until I know more.

To any anon trolls and insiders trying to stir up problems commenting on other sites or behind my back and making insinuations even though you read my previous post on Williams, I know it frustrates you that despite the stealth tactics and challenges thrown my way by you yokels, insiders and haters , every day I do a better job than your preferred groupie tool lifelong establishment media. And this without the resources and money thrown at the slop that is put out and convenient to the status quo by certain media.

I know how to report, I get scoops because I have the talent, loyalty and support of this community. It doesnt take a rocket science to know who the suspect or officers were in an incident that took place in broad daylight seen by many people. When covering live news, it is about priority, a gut instinct and being at the right place at the right time. Did I cover the original incident or not? How do you know what I know or dont know and when?

You groupies and insiders wouldnt be and arent pissy if it was LOCO, NCJ or any other site you promote releasing the same information I do. You all consistently have double standards because you want to shut down independent reporting you dont control. Maybe if people trusted your Maybe if your precious Hank, Thad, they actually had talent and they actually worked outside a desk, they would know what is going on in the community.
