Instead of jury trial, Jasen Coley case scheduled for change of plea

After the second intervention hearing in murder suspect Jasen Coley's case, Deputy District Attorney Candace Myers and Mr. Michael Robinson were chatting outside court.

As I reported in another post, Judge Gregory Kreis is out of town on Monday the day, the jury trial was scheduled to start so I expected some rescheduling. I checked on the case today. The case is on 12/13 for change of plea and court trial for sanity phase. At trial assignment, both defense and DA said they will waive jury for sanity phase. This means a court trial. The doctor reports are marked confidential. The judge can just rule on the reports. I will just add court minutes for both the plea and court trial. I am pretty sure that given the plea, Coley will be going to a state hospital; not prison. Coley will plead to the charges of murder and the special allegation listed in the information.

Cases sometimes resolve depending after doctors submit reports, Coley entered an additional plea of  not guilty by reason of insanity and as the 12/6 minutes indicated, discussions were ongoing. I already wrote previously about this case and that it should resolve.
