"I am a friend of Mia Felders here in Solano County area. I am SO grateful you are the only person following and reporting on her recent murder.

Ironically I was born and raised in Humboldt County and moved to The SO very diverse community of Fairfield CA where I met Mia. When she moved to Humboldt I was happy to know this and worried for her at the same time. As you likely know it’s a bit of a culture shock to move from a diverse community to a community like Humboldt.

Mia was a very special human and as a woman of color in an area like Humboldt I worried for her for various reasons.

To learn of her murder shortly after her relocation to Humboldt and also shortly after she was murdered, I was shocked and saddened beyond words.

I vision myself attending court hearings to support her parents and remind them others are aware of how special she is yet it’s a long long drive yet I think of she and her family so often.

To access the webs and see your posts I cannot explain what it has meant to my daughter and I as I struggle with acceptance regarding Mia’s earthly exit.

So thank you. Thank you for prioritizing her life and death.

This morning I received this email. It is always nice to get a these reminders on why I originally started this blog and why I cover court cases. I am sharing it with permission. Mainly so Mia's parents, her other friends, those who knew her in Humboldt feel solace and Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees who is prosecuting this case sees the impact of his seeking justice for Mia.

As I mentioned in previous posts, I knew Mia Felder. She worked at a coffee shop I have been to a few times . I had already written about Daniel Dozier's arrest. When I saw the complaint and saw the victim's name; I was hoping it was a different Mia.
