Local attorney Michael Acosta's partner, Sarah Carroll was arraigned for her hit and run arrest. Judge Lawrence Killoran set bail at $25,000. Despite opposition from Acosta, who I said would represent her and is her attorney in this case, Carroll was remanded into custody after court. She posted bond. There is an OR/bail hearing on 12/18. Preliminary hearing is on 12/28.
Carroll was arrested on this new charge after the plea deal in Acosta and her 2020 case for possession of meth and operating or maintaining a drug house. Caroll is on probation in the 2020 case.
As I reported previously a few times, Acosta is appealing his sentence in the 2020 case.
12/18: OR/bail continued by Court to 12/21; also scheduled for motion to continue and confirmation of Counsel.
