Even though he was only held to pimpering and pandering after his preliminary hearing, the DA's arraignment on information for Alleged pimp and convicted felon Javier Ruiz-Keyes also includes charges of human trafficking. Alleged victims are Jane Doe 1 and Jane Doe 3.
Pre trial on 9/19 and 9/21; trial confirmation on 10/31 and jury trial on 11/7.
Preliminary hearing for his other 2022 case is scheduled for 9/21.
9/19: pre trial continued by defense to 9/21
9/21: in pimping case, two more pre trials scheduled on 10/4 and 10/17; trial confirmation on 10/31; jury trial on 11/7. In other case, motion to continue prelim by DA granted. Status of prelim hearing on 10/4. Preliminary hearing + hearing on suppression motion PC 1538.5 filed by public defender continued to 10/17.
10/4: in pimping case pre trial continued again to 10/17 when another pre trial was already scheduled. Regarding people's motion to consolidate, Deputy Public Defender David Celli requests addtional time to respond.
