Convicted sex offender puts on a show in court to deflect from his own repeated actions that harm the community

Convicted sex offender Robert Munts put on quite the show in court yesterday at his arraignment. In addition to his two August 2022 cases, Munts act was after he learned that he was being arraigned on a third 2022 case. He was also arraigned on information for his August 26 arrest which is now scheduled for jury trial.

This is the guy who threatened Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees and got a year probation for that misdemeanor. He recently threatened a St. Bernard's employee and was acting erratically at Alice Birney School.

Mr. Rees recused himself from the Munts arraignment and Deputy DA Carolyn Schaffer hanled the arraignment yesterday.

Munts asked to leave court and have arraignment proceeded without his presence. Judge Kaleb Cockrum granted his request.

Munts was talking so loudly in what was supposed to be a private conversation with Conflict Counsel Supervising Attorney Meagan O'Connell.

"I am very upset at this situation," yelled Munts. "I don't understand what's going on. I didn't go there in the first fucking place. It is cruel and unusual punishment for something I haven't done."

Munts, the only cruel and unusual punishment is the mental toll you put everyone through at the Courthouse, outside the Courthouse, the waste of law enforcement, court and taxpayer resources, because you don't deal with your issues and prance around in underwear in front of innocent women and children at the courthouse.
