Two DUIS, two bench warrants and he is not remanded Judge Neel?

I was going to attend today's trial confirmation hearing and arraignment on second DUI for Corbett Petersen in person but as you can see I have had a busy day. I had bigger fish to fry than wait to see if Corbett showed up. His hearings are always on days when there are multiple court cases and other news.

The People objected to the motion to continue; they asked for remand. Corbett has previous failures to appear and you let him walk out Judge Kelly Neel?

Judge Neel, you know I have a lot of respect for you as a Judge. I have commended you on the blog and in person but I disagree with this ruling. The People tried to protect the public.

Corbett has received a lot of leeway compared to most defendants since his first arrest. I don't have the time or the energy to read through his numerous emails, again. In a previous post, I mentioned that Corbett sent me several ranting emails which were all over the place. Corbett said he has friends and in laws who work at the courthouse. I am so over one set of laws and virtually no consequences for local yokels with connections like Marci Kitchen and Rick Littlefield vs your average person in Humboldt paying their fines, doing time and consequences for getting a DUI.

Obviously, Corbett does not have his alcohol problem under control. At OR/bail, what are you or whichever Judge presides over the hearing going to do to ensure public safety. Given his previous failures to appear, what consequences has Corbett faced?

Corbett is too busy posting online despite DUIS instead of sobering up and taking responsibility. Is he still driving and doing food delivery? I ask for a reason. His answer should be on court record so I can accurately respond to the reader who emailed me and claimed he was still doing Door Dash and driving with a suspended license.

Corbett criticized Arcata Councilmember Brett Watson yet racks up a second DUI himself. Corbett is just one example of the frequent commenters online on Humboldt and social media.
