Defense continuance for former North Coast Journal officer manager, Carmen Marie England, charged with grand theft was granted at trial confirmation last week. The jury trial for October 3 was vacated.
There is no booking photo for England in the system. Prior to being represented by the public defender, England was represented by Mr. Michael Robinson.
There have been several continuances by the defense; most recently the trial confirmation being continued from 9/13 to 9/22.
Pre trial and status of subpoenaed records was continued by stipulation to 10/12. Umpqua Bank records have beensubpoenaed. Trial confirmation on 11/14; jury trial on 11/28.
Charges:
10/12: Subpoenaed records from Redwood Capital provided to People.
11/14: Trial confirmation was continued to 11/21 by defense.
11/21: Defense motion to continue granted. 11/28 date vacated. Resetting of jury trial on 12/13.
12/13: Trial confirmation on 1/4/23; jury trial on 1/23/23.
1/4: Trial confirmation continued to 1/19 by defense; jury trial on 1/23/23.
