Rexy cant tell his buddy Honsal and the County to expedite the DA's request to make sure a convicted rapist stays in prison?

 

Convicted rapist Kailan Meserve's habeas corpus hearing scheduled for 10/3 maybe delayed again. 

Yesterday at a status conference, Meserve's attorney, Mr. Johnny Griffin, told Judge Kaleb Cockrum that Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer had indicated she is seeking a continuance. 

Mr. Griffin agreed there was good cause and he would not object. If the continuance was granted, he requested the hearing be scheduled after October 31 or he wont' be available for "four to six weeks." Mr. Griffin said he had rearranged his schedule for the habeas corpus hearing and was only able to move one case. 

Ms. Schaffer said that "former HCSO Deputy Mike Haas who was terminated made some disclosures." This did not include specifics which are needed to assess Hass' credibility. The DA's office is waiting on records and a request has been submitted to the County. Ms. Schaffer was not sure if the DA's office would receive those records "prior to October 3."

The case is scheduled for trial assignment tomorrow. 

First District Supervisor Rex Bohn claims he is all law and order for photo ops. He can't tell his County minion Sean Quincey and his buddy Billy Honsal to expedite a request for records so that the DA can make sure a convicted rapist is not released from prison? HCSO trying to cover up why Haas was fired?

Rexy has other priorities like having secret chats yesterday with buddy Rob McBeth about Nordic Aquafarms. McBeth wasn't thrilled to see me yesterday in the lobby and when I stopped by BOS chambers to see why the Nordic appeal was still going on past 5 p.m. Rex and McBeth slunk away outside to chat during the evening break.

First McBeth shows up to ensure racist Alan Bongio isn't removed from HCSD. Now, he has all day to sit around the BOS chambers? What's McBeth's interest in Nordic Aquafarms? I have nothing against the project because it will provide jobs . Jobs and profit for whom? Rexy's buddies? 

I don't trust these good ole boys and with good reason. They are arrogant, backstabbing, disloyal. They don't like it when they cannot control someone. 

Both Bohn's and McBeth's sons have had their own experiences with the Humboldt Superior Court system. Maybe they can bond with Dave Meserve over coffee about about their privileged Humboldt progeny?

This is how Rex treats DA Maggie Fleming's office. We all know Rex is willing to expedite requests and bend the rules when it comes to his gentleman friends or what he thinks is a priority.

9/30: At trial assignment, the date of 10/3 was vacated. There was motion to continue by both defense and the People. The habeas corpus hearing was rescheduled for 10/21.

10/21: Habeas corpus hearing continued by stipulation becaause DA still waiting on records. Trial assignment special set on 11/10;  habeas corpus hearing on 11/14.

11/10: The habeas corpus hearing on 11/14 was vacated. Defense request for continuance granted. Trial assignment is on 12/15; habeas corpus hearing on 12/19.
