EPD Senior Communications Dispatcher Jenelle Crnich was the People's first witness and EPD Sgt. Terry Liles was the second witness. Both testified before lunch. The 911 call and body cam footage of officers arriving on scene and detaining murder suspect David Kobak was shown to the jurors.
On Sgt. Liles' tape you see the order of people arriving on scene. After first officers are on scene, paramedics arrive, then Captain Brian Stephens and Sgt. Rodrigo Sanchez. Sgt. Liles is seen talking to.two.neighbors. One of them I know is Parke Bostrom.
After lunch, we watched body cam footage from EPD Officer Ben Altic's camera. You see him cuffing Kobak, putting him in the patrol car, putting up crime scene tape and keeping a crime scene log. Officer Altic's body cam footage shows some different angles than Sgt. Liles.
Kobak told Officer Altic he was drunk. Officer Altic could smell the string odor of alcohol on Kobak's person and breath.
