"I hope people do not hang their hats on this Tehama County placement"

Sexually violent predator Joshua Cooley's placement review hearing was scheduled for January 16. Another hearing is scheduled for February 21.

Properties were searched in Tehama, Ventura, Santa Cruz, San Diego and Orange counties.

A potential Tehama County"Jessica law type property" was mentioned but Liberty Healthcare will know more after February 14 as another SVP was housed there and his status will be decided after his parole revocation hearing. A couple other properties by Liberty Healthcare were mentioned but the location was confidential.

"I hope people do not hang their hats on this Tehama County placement," said Deputy District Attorney Stacey Eads. She also requested information on whether the State Department of Hospitals will be doing an annual evaluation of Cooley and noted one had not been conducted yet. Liberty Healthcare is going to reach out to the State Hospital.
