Drunk in public jury trial may delay Opera Alley murder suspect's preliminary hearing

Intervention was scheduled on January 7 for murder suspect Connor Whited. Preliminary hearing for January 9 was confirmed.

The defense filed a motion to exclude statements which is scheduled to be heard before the preliminary hearing.

Whether the Whited preliminary hearing scheduled for two days proceeds depends on availability of Whited's attorney. She is currently in a jury trial; the charge is drunk in public.

Whited is charged with the murder of Brett Keiling and a special allegation that he used a deadly weapon; a club.

Deputy District Attorney Adrian Kamada is the prosecutor for the case. Deputy Conflict Counsel April Van Dyke is Whited's attorney.
