Accept the People's offer or take a chance with trial and be convicted on murder charge?
Trial setting was scheduled on January 27 for Cesar Valenzuela, the last remaining suspect in the Manila homicide. It was continued to February 11. The People have made an offer to resolve the case. It will stay open until that date.
Deputy Public Defender Casey Russo has not been able to meet with Valenzuela since he is in trial on the David Kobak case. Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer is the prosecutor for the case.
