Securitas, a security company with al local office hiring local emoyees will be replaced by American Guard Services, effective Dec 1, 2019. AGS' corporate office is in Los Angeles and other offices in San Diego and Oakland.
In the staff report, it is stated that American Guard is the vendor that best suits the needs of the County and that the Board of Supervisors should rubber stamp the decision. Best suited for who? The public? The taxpayers? Or those who made the decision without consulting the public?
It sounds like a done deal and it is on the consent calendar. Courthouse will open later and it is going to cost more.
