Yesterday's Eureka Planning Commission meeting has been continued to September 20.
Three cannabis related permits are on the agenda. I spoke to Papa and Barkley's Jon O'Connor about the 524 5th Street cannabis retail conditional use permit.
Right now, to sell at events like High Times in the big area Papa and Barkley has to partner with another retailer. "If we have our own retail license in any city in the state, we can sell at these events as well as do more direct delivery to consumers like nursing homes or people without cars," said O'Connor.
"We plan to be open for as few days as possible because we do not want to compete with local dispensaries."
