Former local TV station employee Mark Dare's jury trial for alleged molestation confirmed


Trial confirmation was scheduled for alleged molestor Mark Dare on September 12. He is charged with molesting his stepdaughters. Dare previously worked at a local TV station. He is a member of the Seventh Day  Adventist church. His own wife, the alleged victims' mother, supports him and testified on his behalf at the preliminary hearing.

Dare spoke with Public Defender Marek Reavis before court. His wife was not in court today but three family members or supporters were present. The court bailiff had to tell Dare not to use his cell phone in the courtroom.

Jury trial is scheduled for October 28 was confirmed by both the People and Defense. Dare withdrew his time waiver today.

Deputy District Attorney Whitney Timm was present for the People.
