Brian Leiteritz charged with voluntary manslaughter and assault with a deadly weapon

Brian Leiteritz is scheduled to be arraigned on information on October 3  information for his jury trial.



The District Attorney has charged Leiteritz with Count 1 voluntary manslaughter and the special allegation of use of a deadly weapon in the commission of the crime and Count 2 Assault  with a deadly weapon and special allegation of causing great bodily injury/death.

Leiteritz was originally charged with the murder of Dylon Liakos. He was not held to answer to the murder charge after the preliminary hearing. He was held to answer for voluntary manslaughter and special allegation of use of deadly weapon during the commission of the alleged crime
