I have put in a PRA request and contacted the City of Eureka. Heard from two different sources that the Eureka City Manager job description has changed and no longer requires a degree in public administration.
City Clerk Pam Powell responded immediately.
"The Class Spec for the City Manager position as adopted by Council does not require a degree. See attachment. The draft flyer for the position did state that a degree was required but in the final profile announcement it was changed to reflect the adopted class specification."
Is the fix in for a particular candidate?
