Intervention was scheduled for local therapist Edward Pena on September 19. Preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 23 as well as the second motion to continue by the defense.
People waived written notice of the motion to continue. Time estimate is 1.5 hours.
9/23 update: The preliminary hearing has already been continued once by the defense. Today, the People objected to another continuance but the motion was granted for good cause. Intervention rescheduled to December 12; preliminary hearing to December 19.
Pena's complaint has allegations from three female victims and includes charges of a DUI, fleeing the scene and resisting a peace officer.
